Dear Future Love

Dear future love,      I know you're out there somewhere. There's a little chance that we might have met before so I'm quite positive we are yet to meet each other. Future love, I would like to apologize. I'm sorry that when we finally meet, I won't be able to give you my heart whole. I've let other people break it quite a number of times now. I have made mistakes and got quite the hang of falling in love with the wrong people. They broke me and I gave them a part of myself as they do so. I'll never be able to get those back. I've stumbled, fell and crashed on my way to you.      Future love, please know that I'm still looking and waiting for you. I'm praying that on the day that our paths cross, you'll accept me on this state. That you'll love me despite my mistakes and understand that though I got my heart in pieces, I'll still give you every bit of it.      Future love, I won't be asking much.I just want to be loved ba

6 Things 2017 Taught Me

Never lose hope. At some point in our lives, we will want to give up on everything. Adulting, love, work, everything. And when it does come, NEVER, again, NEVER give in to it. Life is never over until it’s over. And if you could just believe: something or someone somewhere will show you that losing hope was never really an option.          The world is bigger than you have ever imagined. I, for one, can’t really grasp how vast my world is, literally and figuratively. But this year, I have learned that each of us has their own little world waiting to be explored. Our perception of the world is relative. I may see a vast ocean full of adventures while others see a boring blue sea. And it will only be up to you to really know how big your world is.        Sometimes, you just need to stop, breathe, and think. Humans grow tired. No one in an exception. When everything seems to be chaotic and tiring, Stop. Breathe and gather yourself. Let all the emotion you have

I Found Love in Sagada

Exactly 1 year after my second Sagada trip, I finally had the chance to write a blog post about it. (GOOD JOB, GELO! HAHA) At first, I really wanted to go to Sagada just because of the movie "That thing called Tadhana". Nagmu-move-on kasi talaga ako non. My first trip to Sagada was for work. A project really close to my heart. (Please see Mj Hernandez' blogpost for this). When I finally had the chance to go to Sagada for pleasure, I am neither heart-broken or moving on. But despite the fact that I do not fall into any of those stereotypical categories of the people who usually go to Sagada, I was still captivated by the magic it possess. So, I am sharing with you, 6 Reasons why I love Sagada. 1. The Romantically Heartbreaking Feel Sagada gives off a very romantic feel, yet, ironically, it's heart-breaking as well. Give me a chance to explain myself on this one: The cold weather greatly contributes on how you will feel while strolling around S

Hi! I'm Gelo, and I am Back!

Siguro, totoo nga yung kasabihang, you will always go back to what you love. Nung umpisa, nagagawa ko yun sa journal ko. (Naks, may journal!) Pero parang hindi nga siya journal eh, mas diary ang datingan niya. Diary ng lahat ng nararamdaman ko. (sa lalaki. HAHAHAHA) Writing has been an escape for me. And this time, I wanna share it with you. Yes! Babalik na ako sa pagsulat. I will go back to one of the things I love. And going to do my best in doing it. (Hanudaw? Hahahaha) Basta, I will share with you all the memories I have that I believe is worth sharing. So as an aspiring social media influencer, please follow me and get to know me thru my travels, food, and my coffee. This is me, Gelo, and join me in my unpremeditated life.

Buwan

That One Moment

When I feel down and needs someone to talk to but can't find who's willing enough, I write. But writing was never my favorite. Even when I was still in High School, I hated answering essays and never took formal theme writing seriously (well maybe I did but just for a couple of times). But in an unexpected twist of fate I ended up as a journalism student.      That twist of fate was the very moment I wrote "AB Journalism" on a tiny balnk space labeled "Course" on a simple sheet of paper. That moment, changed my life. I was forced to (but eventually loved it) watch the news; when I only open the TV to watch cartoons and teleseryes, Read newspapers: when the only reading materials I actually read (and ejoyed) were the Harry Potter books. But because of that one moment, I realized that there are a lot more interesting things around us that we ignore just because. That one tiny little moment had a drastic effect on my life.      Where am I going w
